Gift The Perfect Christmas Present This Year
And here's your hint, it's FREE!
The older I get, the more I realize how much I don't need. Like I don't need more things for my kitchen, more throws for my couch, and I certainly don't need more pillows for my bed.
What I do need is time. I want more time with my mom, a get-a-way with my husband, an adventure with my kids, and a ladies' night out with my best friend.
As we are gearing up for the gifting season, I want you to ask yourself, what is it that I genuinely wish to experience this season? And then deepen it and ask, if this was my last season, what do I truly want?
Your answer will match your loved ones. All anyone wants is time and to know you care enough to make them a priority.
What Do You Gift When Your Loved One Lives Far Away?
Same thing. Time. I would send them a bag of coffee beans from the coffee shop you two used to frequent, set up a FaceTime date, and enjoy a cup of coffee together.
I buy two candles with the same scent, send one to them, and keep one for myself. Set up a FaceTime date, pour yourselves a glass of wine, and hang out.
What If I Feel Like I Have To Gift Something?
I mentioned above the same thing; pair your time with something nostalgic or remind them of a fun memory you shared.
Maybe it's sharing a bottle of wine, having a movie night in, going shopping, enjoying a new coffee place. Gift a bottle of wine, a DVD, or a gift card. Then in the greeting card, give three-time options to set up a date, and it's taken care of right then and there.
Supply Chain Shortages Have Nothing On The True Gift This Season
And that's you. So take a deep breath and relax; this season will be the very best and most meaningful. Because we can all go out and buy another gadget, but we can't put a price on the value of our time and making memories.
